While we focus on making Magic in the studio, please remember to embrace the Magic happening all around us! I have been taking advantage of this Mercury retrograde by returning to the studio and creating some serious Gypsy Love. Stay tuned for upcoming show dates and HHHOT new trax... In the meantime, I hope you all benefit from this month's gifts from the Sky...
Every six months, we are energized by a Solar Eclipse - when the moon crosses the earth's orbit around the sun. These times mark a particularly potent New Moon, and on Wednesday February 6th at 7:45pm PST, we experience such an event in 17 degrees of Aquarius. An eclipse can be seen as a time where profound transformation and enlightenment are possible. A few weeks (or more) before an eclipse, we often start feeling its vibrations in ways relative to the focal sign and its placement in our own chart. Since Aquarius represents our relationship with collective consciousness, we are drawn toward thoughts and actions surrounding "We," not just "Me." Are we acting out of healthy compassion or self-deprecating martyrdom? These are the questions we must ask ourselves over the next few months if we are to grow from this full moon eclipse...

Appreciate in '08! Music, Moons, and More...
Hi Everyone - ready for the year of the Earth Rat? The GypsyLuv was flowin' strong in December as we turned it out proper-like at Supperclub SF and the Mother of All New Years. It's always a party when I perform with DJ Trevor Simpson and DJ Eddy Santana, who both gave us some crazy intense ear-gasms as we boogied joyfully into 2008. On January 8th - especially if you have prominent Capricorn in your chart, focus your energy on your own personal dreams and goals - even if they seem "unconventional." Thanks to all of you who joined the party at my recent performances! Space Gallery was magical - we officially rocked the place Gypsy* style - and the artwork was amazing! Castro Street Fair was off the chain - a beautiful, colorful, dance-filled festival of Luv... the WATER Hip-Hop Showcase was also a blast. Two of my favorite energies: GypsyLove + HOTTT Hip-Hop Dance! Much fun for all... And for those of you who caught the 9th Annual Hip-Hop DanceFest at the Palace of Fine Arts, you are probably still buzzing from the unforgettable beats and electrifying FBC choreography - that's how we do!

Astro-tips for my fellow Stargazers: December is all about expanding our horizons! The New Moon in Sagittarius on December 9th urges us to consider our purpose in life, and to make sure we are headed in the direction of our dreams. In addition to the Moon in Sagittarius, we have Mercury, Jupiter, AND Pluto sharing space in the sign of the "Archer" at this time... Jupiter will also be conjunct Pluto on the 11th, encouraging us to challenge assumptions and invite change & rebirth into our lives. We each carry our own personal "Bow and arrow." It's our job to transcend beyond conventional stereotypes, aim toward our personal truths, and enjoy the exciting adventures that await us! The Cancer Full Moon on December 23rd - 24th is opposed Sun in Capricorn. A great time to think about how our inner child (Cancer) relates to our inner adult (Capricorn). Are we feasting on energies that are nourishing or limiting? What are we born to do and be? Are we being sensitive to that little voice inside that urges us to embrace what we love so we can achieve lasting happiness and success? Allow Saturn's retrograde in Virgo assist you in eliminating energies that are no longer productive or necessary. ...My Gypsy* performance was made extra-special by the AMAZING crowd...We are talkin' major positive vibes, beautiful dancers, and Luv, Luv, Luv! To each and every one of you: You're Beautiful... You're Perfect... I LUV U! Jus the way U R

...And if THAT's not enough to get your panties in a sizzle, Violinist Dave Kim was there to liven the sound with some whimsical strings. Are you kidding me? Blissful. San Francisco Electronica Maestro DJ Paul Hemming mixed it up with his incredible sound and progressively chic beats. And downstairs, DJ Chris Harnett brought the bootylicious out in all of us with his HELLLLLLAFUN Hip-hop Mash-up mix (that's right all you So. Cal folks, I said "Hella." Use it in a sentence today!)
...Special Thanks to party-master DAVID SOTO for whipping up this intoxicating potion for all of us. We Heart David.
...It was wonderful to switch it up a bit and celebrate Raks Rosa Bazaar and Gala with my strong and ultra-talented Bellydance sisters. A fun-filled day of drums, dance, and dreams culminated with an evening Gala featuring extraordinary bellydancers and live musicians. Wow, what a memorable event!
So now you can see why I'm a little behind in the blog department. Thank you again to all who have partaken in the GypsyLove! And to those who still haven't experienced the magic, I have much more up my sleeve - including an upcoming event on Tuesday September 18th at the Space Gallery in SF (1141 Polk St. @ Sutter.
